Cellist + pianist

In 2010, I received my Grade 10 certificate in piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music.

I was a member of the Edmonton Youth Orchestra from 2009-2012 and served as principal cellist of the intermediate orchestra during the 2009-2010 season. Prior to law school, I completed three years of the Bachelor of Music program at the University of Alberta, where I studied cello with Colin Ryan.

Performance scholarships received from the University of Alberta include the Frantisek Cikanek Memorial Award (2015, 2014, 2013, 2012), Margarita Heron Pine Lake String Award (2015, 2014), Peace River Pioneer Memorial Scholarship (2014, 2013), Beryl Barns Memorial Award (2014, 2012), and Hrapko Family Scholarship in Music (2012).

While I am classically trained, I also have a strong interest in other genres, including jazz and pop.

I play on a 2012 Michael Doran cello as well as a Luis and Clark carbon fibre cello.
